CARRYGYM: Born from a Lifetime of Fitness Expertise

My journey in fitness began in the 1970s, rooted in experiences as an All-State swimming diver, champion karateka, and owner of gyms in Michigan and Florida. My path was shaped by personal training with Arthur Jones, the inventor of Nautilus machines, and Dr. Ellington Darden, head of research at Nautilus. Their guidance led me to open the first Nautilus gym in Michigan, where I trained a diverse range of individuals, from students to professional athletes.

This passion for fitness and decades of experience inspired me to create this unique piece of gym equipment. A highlight of CARRYGYM is the wheelchair/chair model, making fitness accessible for all. Seeing it used in adapted physical education classes in California schools reflects its impact. CARRYGYM is the result of a lifelong commitment to empowering others to stay fit, wherever they are.
